I am a volunteer artist for Superhero Project, a non-profit organization whose mission is to partner artists with children/teens impacted by serious illnesses, disabilities or other complex medical conditions, and draw them as their imagined characters.
I had the amazing opportunity to be partnered with 10 year old Mason whose superpower was to spread happiness with his smile and musical guitar.

The original sketch is below. With feedback from the Creative Director, Taryn I made adjustments to the child's anatomy, wheelchair, and toy dog to create the final image.
I always forewarn clients that my sketches look nothing like my fully rendered drawings and this is a prime example. Trust the process! I'm really proud of how it turned out.
